Transformation Sprint
The Transformation Sprint is a four-week cycle within a Transformation Increment (TI), specifically aimed at executing Transformation User Stories. These are compact yet significant work packages that directly contribute to a Transformation Feature, progressively advancing towards the overarching Transformation Epics.
Key Meetings in a Transformation Sprint:
- Transformation Sprint Planning: Determines which Transformation User Stories will be tackled in the upcoming Sprint, setting a clear focus and plan for the Sprint goals.
- Transformation Weekly/Daily: A short, daily, bi-weekly, or weekly meeting for work coordination, enabling the team to review progress and plan activities for the next day.
- Transformation Sprint Review: A meeting at the end of the Sprint where the team presents the results and collaborates with stakeholders on the next steps.
- Transformation Sprint Retrospective: Reflects on and continuously improves teamwork and processes.
These events/meetings are essential as they ensure transparency, continuous adaptation, and a rhythm for ongoing improvements. Transformation Epics Teams are self-organized, often nominating an internal “Scrum Master/Team Coach” to help enhance methodological application, address issues, and maintain the team’s efficiency and focus in daily work.

After three Transformation Sprints, the results of all Transformation Epic Teams are showcased in the “Measure and Improve” event at the end of a TI, to all interested parties, affected individuals, and other stakeholders.
