Glossary – Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)

Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)

Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) is when management uses lean principles to create a link between strategy and execution. Portfolio management teams inform the company’s strategy and allocate resources to implement that strategy.

As with other portfolios, an LPM portfolio requires creativity in its definition and active management throughout the investment lifecycle. LPM’s primary focus is to align agile development with business strategy to create products and solutions that deliver value to customers. LPM and agile development practices can be combined to increase business agility.
